The Trimbake BakeOff

A very big thank you to all of our Trimbaked By Me bakers who came to our Bake Off on Tuesday evening.

They have all been trying out Trimbake in their favourite recipes for the past few weeks and brought their favourites along to be tested by our panel of steely judges (well, eachother).  Among the entries were Mocha Cake with Baileys Icing, Walnut and Raisin cookies and miniature carrot cakes.

Tea was drunk (and maybe just a spot of wine) and lots of baking tips were exchanged.  We were all impressed with everybody’s delicious creations and, as they were all packed with Trimbake’s fruit and vegetables in place of most of the fat and sugar, we didn’t feel in the slightest bit guilty about testing them all.

But there can only be one winner.  Votes were cast and the results were (in reverse order)

In third place, Joanna’s Dutch Apple Cake which was super tasty but we were assured is even better straight out of the oven with a splodge of cream.

Second, was Kim’s Chocolate Cake which wowed everyone with the sugar free chocolate icing made which had dates as its secret ingredient.

And in first place

George’s Bacon, Sausage and Mushroom Quiche, with Trimbake in the pastry instead of most of the fat.
